I have a lot of Birky's, and I also have a lot of foot problems, as well as a hard-to-fit foot for the Birkenstock brand, yet I wear these every chance I get, because they are the best, hands down, for me. We have long, hot summers in OK, and it's important to have good sandals.My feet: narrow, longish, and with a low foot volume,(arch compresses slightly when standing, instep is not very high, tops of feet basically smooth with no bony protrusions. I find that the "narrow" of Birkenstock is simply not narrow enough, and I really need there to be adjustable straps. I buy the newer, cuter styles and not the old-school traditional ones, and these don't always have that great footbed, or fit so nice and snug. The Cozumel seems like it was custom made for me. This is great, since the front straps cannot be adjusted. I have the lavender ones, like in the picture, but I would like to get one of the other, more neutral colors available here. I have a similar pair which is light blue with print, and the front strap and toe strap are unfortunately too loose. I think the suede leather ones pictured here are just like my lavender ones, though.As far as looks go: this style works very well for me--not too clunky, not too fancy--and I do get compliments when I wear these.

This is the cutest sandal. I got the black nubuck which is a very smooth suede, but doesn't look suede; it looks like a matte black. I got a size 36 and wear an U.S. size 6 1/2; it fits perfect. I don't think you need to size up for 1/2 sizes unless you have long toes (I have short toes and a wide foot). I got this on today's deals and wish they would bring it back in other colors; I would buy another pair in a heartbeat.

My wife loves these sandals. The first pair were a bit large and she had to order down, and Amazon was terrific as always in sending out a replacement. She says they require a bit of breaking in, but after that they're a pleasure to wear. They're her first Birkenstock sandals.
