I purchased this Jellycat and the Spot Dog (black and white) huge. One for my niece (4 yrs old) and one for my nephew (2 yrs old). The listing said For All Ages. When I got them I looked at the tag and it said that they are not recommended for children under 4. But, in addition, this Dog was not wrapped in plastic as was the spot dog. It almost looked used and did not seem to me to be as well made. I'm keeping the Spot dog for my niece, and this Jellycat will be returned. I won't know how my niece likes her Jellycat until the holidays when she gets it. So I can only speak to what I'm hoping, which is that she will love to cuddle on it while watching Dora the Explorer.

This dog is superb. We got it after other smaller jellycat products became a huge hit with our daughter. As she grew, the "large" jellycat animals became not so large anymore so we got this dog.Our daughter loves it. She loves reading on it, she love staking naps on it, and occasionally she sleeps at night on it. It has just the right amount of softness and squishiness, it's fur is pleasant to touch and it doesn't smell of toxic synthetics like toys from some other manufacturers. It folds for relatively compact storage and it spreads into a nice large sofa equivalent for our two year old.

I love this Truffle (and all the jellycat items) It is very well constructed and well put together.One word of warning this is not for small children it is HUGE and it should be thought of like a sheepskin, It is very plush and heavy. This is the same for all of the Jellycat Huge Truffles Plush Truffles Sheep HugeThat being said I love to have mine on my bed in the winter as it gives me extra warmth. I can almost be used as furniture as well.
