Excellent Sound For The Price!

GREAT BOOMBOX FOR THE SIZE & PRICE! It has a great sound with some decent bass. It's perfect for having around the home and/or office. Portable enough to take with you to the beach etc. One drawback we found was that the SUBX1 doesn't have an equalizer. But that's nothing compared to what you DO get! For the price, you cannot beat this boombox!

Great Portable Sound System

I have been using this unit with a Sportster 4 for about two weeks now, and this is the one item that has really allowed me to enjoy Sirius at home. I also have a home kit hooked to my stereo, but this item allows me to bring Sirius to my basement workshop and to my home office. These are normally pretty tough locations to get a signal, but as long as I have the antenna somewhere close to a window I can get a signal, even in these tough locations. My area does have a repeater that allows this to be possible. I think the Sirius signal is a little tougher to pick up than the XM signal (I am in the process of switching to Sirius), but this boombox does as good or better than the home kit. It even works with an XM antenna!As far as sound goes, it is better than any portable solution that I have found for either service provider. The built in subwoofer makes a LOT of difference. It sounds good cranked fairly loud, and also sounds good at low volume, which is something that can't be said of the SA10002 XM boombox (I tried that one and returned it the same day - what junk!).One other thing to note. I use this unit almost exclusively on batteries. It works great, but don't believe the battery indicator. The "power" light turns red, telling you to change the batteries. It indicated low batteries pretty quickly, but they had plenty of life left according to my separate battery tester (Radio Shack 22-096 - highly recommended). I have been using "low" batteries for about 8 hours and the batteries still test good.Enjoy - I hope this helps...

Does What It Does

Works fine with my Starmate 4 as a boombox. Very light, looks nice.IMPORTANT HINT: I would recommend you DO NOT use the antenna that comes with the boombox. I did and thought I wasn't going to be able to have Sirius because I got no reception (3 bars on the terrestrial signal, none on the satellite) in my apartment. Fortunately I read online someone had a similar problem and they switched to the magnetic car antenna (it will attach to the boombox). I did the same and my reception problems were solved (both satellite and terrestrial signals are nearly full on the reception indicator). Again, use the car antenna (provided with whichever receiver you buy) NOT the boombox indoor/outdoor antenna.

your new best friend

I can tell these boots were lovingly made! No need for "break-in" time--right out of the box they fit as if I had been wearing them for months. Even though the boots look incredibly warm, my feet have never overheated. They go from indoors all day to hours of freezing weather with no noticeable difference in my feet's comfort level. The sole of the shoe is soft enough to give a spring to the step, yet firm enough that my feet feel well supported. The soles offer excellent traction in wet weather.These are comfortable walking boots and can support a full day of sight-seeing or window shopping. They are dressy enough to wear with slacks or a long skirt but look equally good with jeans or other casual wear. Mine arrived with a special cloth that can be used to buff out any scratches or mars in the leather--the cloth works wonders and scuffs disappear.One important thing to note: They run a little small. If you wear a half size, order UP. For example, I wear a consistent 7 1/2. The 38 is a bit snug and I wish I had ordered the 39 (8 - 8 1/2). Order up to wear a thicker sock. Whether you choose a thin or thick sock, I recommend wearing a Smart Wool sock with these boots.Overall, excellent quality. These boots will become your new best friend!

Watch your sizing on this boot

I purchased the clogs in a EU39 (size 9) and loved them. I purchased these boots in the same size and they are so small and tight I can barely get my foot into them!WATCH YOUR SIZE CHOICE if you buy these......they are the correct length (10") for a 9 but seem to be very tight and narrow.Just not the same easy fit as the clog.....probably because they are enclosed?However, having said all that , the sole is the most comfortable thing you'll ever wear.I absolutely love the clogs and own two pair. Wish I could wear them year 'round.

most comfortable boot ever

I absolutely love these boots however, the sizing is wrong. If you wear a size nine you need a 40. size 8 a 39. This sizing is different from normal european sizing. I had to return the boots but I would get another pair as soon as possible.

Very pleased!

I purchased this unit to replace an old Bluepoint butane soldering iron that I have misplaced. At first I was disappointed when I received the soldering iron, as it did not come with a case and accessories as my previous butane soldering iron did. However, those feeling were quickly dismissed after a few uses of this iron.As a test engineer, I set up many electrical tests. These tests require 30AWG instrumentation wire soldered onto the wires of electrical harnesses, which sometimes can be into the thousands of circuits. I use a Weller digital soldering station for this task when assembling these harnesses on the bench before they are plugged into the test fixtures. Many times when fixturing these massive harnesses into position inside environmental chambers, the 30AWG wire will sometimes break, or more circuits are to be instrumented as they are inside the environmental chambers. This is where the butane soldering iron comes in.The iron performed flawlessly. I cannot attest to the three hour usage on a single charge of butane, as stated in the description. I can say that the iron is ready to use almost immediately, though the description says ready to use in thirty seconds. I have used this so far soldering 30AWG wire to circuits as large as 10AWG wire using lead-free solder with impressive results using the supplied chisel tip. The build quality is top notch; even the plastic parts feel of stout construction. No disappointment whatsoever!

Great Tool

This is a must have for any tech. General field work is not always synonymous with accessibility. The only alternative is having a tool of convenience. This soldering iron is highly portable, versatile, and prone to envy. The only drawback is that it doesn't come with a case, as does its less costly counterparts.

I have had my last pyropen for about fifteen years, Excellent for putting on PL259s in below freezing temperatures while hanging on the side of a 40 ft pole mounting an antenna. Every outside tech needs one of these.

Questionable

I bought this battery for my nc6000. It functioned splendidly for about four months and then one day simply stopped working (I suspected the charge controller). I e-mailed the vendor (Northparts) and was told that if I would send in the battery for an RMA I would receive a working replacement. I sent in the battery the next day. After two weeks I had neither heard nor seen anything about a replacement, so I contacted them. No response. I kept e-mailing for another few months and heard nothing. After a few months of this they closed their Amazon shop. I checked their website, and they still existed, selling this part, but I could not find an address or a phone number at which to contact them.Long story short, the battery worked fine for a few months and then died. Not what I'd expect from the $50 I paid for the battery.

It's good, but we found something we like better

This is a really good soldering iron, and of course if you use Weller products, then you have all the weller tips. We compared this one, a road pro (least expensive), and the Antex MLXS soldering iron (you need to do a google search, there's a US distributor). The Antex has some pros and cons vs the weller. The pros are it's slightly thinner, so it doesn't take up as much room in a kit bag, and it seems to reach temperature more efficiently than the weller (we used an in-line watt meter) so if you're running from a battery it's a bit better. The cord for the Antex isn't as high quality though, so while it works, it's not as heat resistant as the weller.I prefer the Antex, but if you have Weller stuff already, then the Weller is a perfectly good way to go.By the way, the <$10 Road Pro iron is pretty good too! Just that you can't get different sized tips for it.

Comfortable

I purchased this suit for my 17yr old. He wrestles tournament during the off season and summer, so he needed a suit. I also bought matching shoes. He thought the suit was just a comfortable as his regular suit and it didn't ride or pinch in the crotch area. My son has a tall and slender frame. He generally wrestles between 125 - 138. We ordered the medium and it fits great.

Sung, sturdy, stinky

I will say the sizes run a little small for these and there is precious little room for your biznass. Also, it's cut a lot lower in the chest than I had anticipated (barely covering the nips). Seems incredibly durable and like it will last a long time...if you can stand it for that long. The second time I wore it, it was as if it amplified my stank by 100 fold. Typically I sweat but there is no stank. This thing, even after multiple washes just houses some serious funk. It's pretty bad when you notice your own flower wilting aroma.

this is the best glock i have ever shot. I got it acouple weeks ago its amazing. I played cqb with it and it did great. It will penetrate a can easily at about 15 feet. It shoots just alittle under 300 fps. The magazine capacity is pretty good. I would sugjest buying another mag.

I'm taking a defensive active shooter class this summer where you defend yourself, care for and administer first aid to a wounded bystander all the time trying not to get shot yourself. Part of that class you use Airsoft pistols for obvious reasons. I bought the extra mag for change outs. The performance is astounding.

I love this stuff

I'm not a crunchy hippie, and I don't go in for the naturalistic sales pitch, but this stuff is fantastic. It is a quality product that has become the shampoo, body soap, shaving cream, and in an emergency toothpaste in my toiletry kit.It is invigorating and opens up my eyes and sinuses every morning.It can be a little shocking to sensitive body areas in the nether regions, but after a couple of uses you get used to it and dare I say look forward to it every morning.The philosophy on the bottle also makes great reading!

I Just Love This Soap

I love, love this non-toxic soap. I have seen it in stores but thought it was a bit too costly. However, I thought I would give it a try. I will never be without this product again. I am using and interested in products not containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, an ingredient found in many products we use daily. A little liquid on my bath towel goes a long way. I like how my skin feels after I shower using this product and the many uses this product offers.

Fantastic Price and Fantastic Quality

Now, to start off I got this item when it was 60% off which was a major selling point for me. I was a little apprehensive. I was torn between the icemats or this. I'm really glad I got this however.The thing I like most about it is it's amazing sound quality. I am often tricked while gaming into thinking the sounds I hear from the headphones are actually coming from my room. The headset is unbelievably comfortable. Often times I wear it for hours at a time and forget I even have them on. The microphone is another main reason I bought this item. I play with a group of friends when gaming and we all like to talk to each other through vent. There is nothing more annoying than a distorted voice or noise. I'm always being commented on how clear I sound. The ability to take it apart into 3 pieces seems to have payed off while traveling. It ensures me that they won't snap in half or anything like that. The ability to hide the microphone is great as well. I don't like detached microphones so i wanted a headset with one built in and when I'm not using it to talk to anybody I can just hide it and it's virtually invisible.My least favorite thing about this headset is that everyone around me can hear what I'm listening to. This only tends to happen when I'm blasting noise into my head though. It's not that big of a deal however because I don't turn it up that loud often anyway. In case you were wondering it doesn't create an echo through the microphone.Overall I give this thing a 5/5 with only one flaw that I have noticed. Great quality sound, very comfortable, and a great quality microphone. If you're wondering if you should buy these I would definitely recommend it.

Not bad considering the price...

Basically i have owned these and the icemat siberias, and between the two i would have to say that the siberias provide a much crisper sound and are more comfortable. However, this should not be taken in the sense that the SteelSound 5H V2's arent a good product, because they are. They just need a little bit better sound, as far as comfort goes i can wear them all night, the only reason i say the siberias are more comfortable is that the design of them is just more creative and basically cradles over your ears making an almost perfect fit. Comparing any headphone under 100 dollars to the siberias is extremely difficult because of how great they are. Now that being said, im kinda clumsy around my work/play area and broke my siberias within 6 months of having them because the design is extremely fragile, where as the SteelSound can be taken down into like 4 or 5 different parts and have been dropped already like 5 or 6 times with no damage what so ever, again the siberias are probably the best headphones on the smaller side of 100 dollars however if your like me you will break the small plastic pieces fairly quickly, so anyways the 5H's are great and provide for a great gaming experience, and can be traveled with and worn for extended periods of time with no problems.

I had the first version of these for almost a year before the microphone broke and was no longer functional as a headset either because it was picking up noise from the broken microphone. However, these are by far the best gaming headset i have ever worn, or purchased. The comfort is second to none. And the crisp clear sound that they had to offer was unimaginable. The first time i wore these i was shocked to actually be able to hear as well as i could while playing my favorite FPS. And for the people comparing these to Icemat Siberia's don't listen to a word they say. I have owned both pair of headsets. And these are by far the more superior product. The bass response is undeniable, and the range at which you can hear footsteps is almost twice as far away. Hands down buy these, you will not be disappointed in the least bit. I promise.
