Product Description
These Wolverine 5625 Men's Hawthorne 8-Inch Waterproof Insulated Boots may have bits of camouflage on the uppers, but it's not hard to see why these are a great pair of boots. With waterproof leather uppers, Thinsulate insulation and a great low price, the value is plain to see. Perfect for your next hunting trip, these Wolverine boots have been outfitted with brown Nubuck leather uppers with accents of Cordura on a Mossy Oak camouflage print. decent boots, not for hard work
By Jonny D
I'm a commercial HVAC contractor in the mid-atlantic. I am on a roof 6a-2p 5 days a week. We get snow a few times a year, and the temps sometimes fall into the teens. I got these boots as a christmas gift; my steel toe belleville's were freezing my toes off at work. my standard boot size 11R fit just fine. However, after 1 good year of solid wear everyday for 3.5 months; and the occasional use after that: they have worn out. The tread is more than 60% gone. The 400 gr insulation was never enough, my feet were warmer than in steel toes- but they were frozen. Water soaked through in numerous places, and trudging across a roof during snow-maggedon was cold. I will not buy another pair of these; and for my line of work it's not recommended. The insulation has also worn out, and as it gets cold again- it's almost as bad as wearing steel toes.Tradesman's verdict: tradesman, don't buy em. harry homeowner/ hiker/ guy who needs a good winter boot; Highly recommended. If you don't wear these day in day out and aren't rough on boots- these would be great. But for what I do everyday- wolverine- y'all gotta try Harder

Boots should work
By Jeff Schroeder
From the title you may think this is a negative review but it is quite the contrary. I received these one week before I went upland game hunting in N. Dakota. My first concern was if they fit properly and they did. My second was breaking them in before I left on my trip so I started wearing them to work. I figured I'd get a blister on my heel as it seems I always do with a new pair of boots but it didn't happen. They a very comfortable, lace up easy, are light weight, and are very warm. While hunting we walk miles through many different terrains including a shallow river and the boots kept me comfortable the whole way. My feet never got wet, cold or blistered after miles of walking in adverse conditions.

Good boots for the money.
By Cecil J. Saunders Jr.
There was one review that I read by a roofer who said the boots leaked on a snow-laden roof. I don't doubt that. He should have been wearing rubber wellingtons! These boots are light and the sole feels comfortable and "spongy." The hook eyes are a little difficult to manuver, but I am a big boy and will get used to them.I will direct one complaint at the description of this product by Amazon. These boots have a half-gusset....a gusset being material between the boot eyelet flaps and the tongue. I really prefer full gusset boots, and there was NOTHING in the Amazon description or on the Wolverine website that said these boots were half-gusseted. This is a bad oversight. I have worn half-gusseted boots before and survived, so I will get along. But, Amazon, you need to get your crap together on product descriptions.
