Great saw- Cuts metal fast and clean

This is one of the best Metal cutting saws I ever owned. I am a contractor who installs high end decks and rails. Most are made of stainless steel because of the exposure to the weather. This 7 inch saw has been the best investment I have ever made. I can make 1-200 cuts with one blade - MUCH better than an abrasive because it cuts so clean, not much dust. Worth Every Penny!

I have had one of these large Boos butcher blocks in my kitchen for about eight years now, and it has been worth every penny. It is fantasticallly solid, like chopping on the Rock of Gilbraltar. I've used it for chopping, cutting, as a giant trivet for hot pans, and nothing has fazed it. I've been so pleased with it, I'm going to splurge the extra bucks to get the Boos mezzaluna, just because it's a Boos.

Awesome, Beautiful.....Massive Wood!

I have wanted this Boos Block for over a decade. I finally purchased one. Not only is it a beautiful addition to my kitchen, but it is valuable work space that I desperately needed. The 24 x 24 is perfect for rolling out pizza dough, or if you're making a big pot of gumbo you have plenty of room for the holy trinity to be chopped up. I know most people use food processors, but I find it satisfying to do all the chopping myself when preparing a meal.First off, some advice if you're buying one. Have a large rubber mallet, a bottle of mystery oil and a pipe clamp with rubber padded jaws ready for the assembly.When it arrives, unbox it and examine the legs and decide which one you want where and turn the most appealing wood grain out. Yes, I over think some things, but once you drive these legs in you don't want to stare at it and think "I should have turned that leg the other way, the grain would have looked better".Your new block will be pretty thirsty when you get it. They do oil them, but they make them when you order them. The date is stamped on the bottom. If they had them laying around in warehouses they would dry out and split/separate and fall apart. Apply a generous coat of Mystery Oil/Mineral Oil to the bottom of the block and then, one at a time, wipe the mortise, or the "socket" generously with mineral oil and then thoroughly oil the tenon, or the end of the leg that goes into the mortise. The tenon is cut much like an ax handle only in a +, the legs attach similar to how an ax handle fits into the ax head with compression and wedging the pieces together. Get the oil down in the cuts thoroughly. As soon as you apply the oil, the wood will start swelling (not noticeably, but trust me it's swelling). Align the leg and pound it in with the rubber mallet. You will have to wiggle it a little and then pound it down some more. Keep an eye on the leg and make sure it stays square to the top as your driving it in. If it is off a little this is what you use the pipe clamp for, a big wrench to give it a little twist if need be to keep it aligned properly and square to the top. Now repeat with the other three legs.Once you get the legs on, get someone to help you flip this monster over and start oiling the top. I have had mine three weeks, oiled it every day and it sucked up a bottle of mineral oil. After it stopped drinking it in I rubbed it down generously with the Boos Board Cream with Beeswax.Give this chunk of wood the love it needs right away and then maintain it according to your usage. Even if your not using it note the color and moisture content of the wood and oil it accordingly.I love, love, love this butcher block. It is a thing of beauty and a functional work of art. I'm looking forward to years and years of use and then passing it on to my son and him passing it on......I have several nice cutting boards. My oldest one was used daily for about twenty five years and I just passed it on to my son. KEEP THEM OILED. Same with the Boos Blocks. When they are new they need to be oiled and oiled some more. During their life they will continue to need oil to keep them from drying out. Think about your old baseball glove, or an old saddle. When it was new it needed oil and you needed to keep it oiled. If you stop oiling it, it dries up and starts to crack. Treat this like you would leather. It needs oil and will last and last if you properly maintain it.Thank you Kitchensource.com!

Long life for rider or tire-choose one

This is OEM for the Triumph Thunderbird 1600. It's reported that Metzler designed this size in conjunction with Triumph in England just for this amazing handling bike.First the bad-you can at most get 7,000 miles from this tire in most cases. This bike eats rear tires. But handling, wet traction and braking are excellent on this tire. Perfect for canyon carving at high lean angles. It's wasted on flat land driving until you have to make that cross town drive on I95 and it starts to rain for the first time in weeks. You see the sheen on top of the road and think I'm going to die. However you find that your firmly planted and able to feel confident on the wet slippery roads.There are other cruiser tires that promise longer life but my fellow riders have not found them in the dual compound tires like the Commander II.Nothing I have seen grips or stick like this cruiser tire so I'm happy to just change them every 7000 miles and ride on.

DR-Z 400SM

I'm using this on my DR-Z per Braking's recommendation. They suggested me not use their POW02 bracket that was listed for my bike because I was not using OEM pads. I tried it before contacting them, and it is nowhere near right. That bracket gives enough room for a 330mm rotor. This bracket, the pow13, gives a much better caliper location with a 320mm rotor, but it's still not ideal. Using Braking brand pads, the pad sits right at the edge of the rotor. Using EBC pads I get a slight overhang. Since I'm not aware of another brand making a relocation bracket for the DRZ400SM to use with the 320 rotor, this will have to do.

Quality product

My bother-in-law actually found this in a dumpster in Florida. He gave it to my husband and I and we sanded it and used the Boos Cream on it and it came out looking like brand new. Even the burn marks and water rings came right out. It is so solidly built and will last forever. I may have gotten it for free but I would've paid full price for it because it's worth it!!

Perfect for my purposes

I work in the Hospitality industry and it is essential to have serial ports / RS232 on a regular basis for phone interfacing, movie interfacing etc. This product works flawlessly with our PMS, RoomMaster, and almost any phone system you can imagine. I have a handful of older phone systems using this to interface and it is better than physical serial cables to PCs as you can connect to the serial stream over IP and a port number.I can recommend this to anyone wanting a good com server, but you need to know what you are wanting to do before you purchase. It may be overkill for most implementations.

Great as a traveling office

I love having a separate sleeve for my computer so I don't have to worry about it getting scratched in whatever bag I need to throw it in for the day. I like the mac case messenger bag because it's roomy & has lots of pockets for organizing. I also ordered separate the cases that I can put my cords in. This bag makes it easy for me to keep all my paperwork/books/manuals etc..for the project I bought my computer for all together & to have it wherever I need to take it. I like the non-slip back & the neon inside. It's bigger than some people might want to carry around, but it's effective & practical for what I need.

The Apex435 uses the same proven capsule and electronics of the popular Apex430, however it is mounted in a lighter, more compact chassis. Its ideal applications can be overhead mic for drum kits, for guitar or bass cabinets where superior sound quality and high sound pressure handling is required. It is also the microphone of choice for saxophones, flutes, brass or woodwinds, acoustic guitars or acoustic bass where subtlety and clarity is paramount.

Definetly worth it

I've been using this mic now for about 3 years and it's still holding strong. I mainly use it for recording guitar tracks as I have better Mics for Vocals and Acoustic instruments. If you are looking for an inexpensive Mic to start off your studio, this one is definitely worth it. If you can swing it though, the Apex 460 is 20x's better but is well over 3x's the price.I would give it 5 stars but the shock-mount that came with mine is a piece of garbage. It broke with-in a few months. Apex has since upgraded their shock-mounts but mine was still horrible. But over-all, if this mic were to ever die, I would purchase another one.

Excellent mic

I bought this mic at a small music shop in Stratford, Ontario. I wanted a good mic, but I didn't want to pay $500 for a Rode mic like the ones we use in the broadcast studio.I use the Apex 435 exclusively for voice, and I am completely pleased with its clarity. With a maximum SPL of 140 dB, it might have been intended to mic bass drums and bass guitar amps, but it does a marvelous job with voice. Its frequency response range allows it to capture voice perfectly well with a very flat frequency response.It has a built-in 100 Hz roll-off high-pass filter, but I haven't tried it. Instead, I am using the 80 Hz roll-off filter built into my console, and I am quite happy.I will definitely look at the Apex 435 when I need additional mics.

Incredible for the price

I got two of these for overhead mics on my drums. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was blown away by the sound quality of these things. My drum recordings went from sounding bad to excellent. Worth every penny times 10. A sample recording with Apex 435s as overheads: [...]
