Great value, but not the monitor for me
By Brent R.
I can't really fault this monitor on performance. Everything looks great on it, especially HD-DVD's. And truthfully, that's where I think this thing really shines: video. For watching movies, I doubt there's a better widescreen monitor at this price.Unfortunately, I'll be returning mine tomorrow for two reasons:1. The screen sits in the base arm without any type of attachment, meaning when you try to move the screen it wobbles in the arm making the construction feel very cheap.2. But, what I dislike most of all is that this monitor can't be repositioned. Wait, that's not totally true. There is a swivel in the base, so you can pivot it to the right and left. But the arm and screen are completely stationary. You can't tilt it vertically to adjust for your eye line, and you can't pull the screen closer to you (unless you pull the base with it). While I understand that a monitor for this price is not going to be heavy on features, I think one of the most crucial features of a screen is the ability to tilt the top toward or away from you. The screen is angled slightly back, so if you're ever lower than the screen (like laying in bed watching a movie) it's very difficult to get an optimal angle. Last night I resorted to sticking a book under the back of the base to angle it, greatly increasing the chances my cat is going to knock it over.Great performance, but horribly rigid frame.

overall its a good monitor
By sobored
for the most part its a good monitor. i do have about 2 or 3 stuck pixels. the only time I notice the pixels is when my monitor is on and the scren has a black blank screen. my only major problem with this screen is that if ur looking at the screen at a certain angle the darkness changes. u can tell when ur watching a movie on it and u move the player from the top of the screen to the bottom. it goes from dark to normal. so if the monitor isn't at eye level you will have to adjust the screen to face you as much as possible. its not a big deal since im never gonna really move my monitor that much and when im at my desk im always sitting down so the screen is always at eye level.as for the base goes, its stiff so ive never had a problem with it. u can move the screen angle up pretty good but like the other poster said you can only angle it down a little.

LG Flatron wide monitor
By Douglas P. Brown
Awsome monitor, although, it will help to have a video card to display the optimum resolution, which I just fall short of. It is a worthwhile purchase.
