Quality Ramp for Reasonable Price

I bought a single Landwave ramp for my 11-year-old son about 6 months ago. His friend had bought a different brand a couple of months before and it was already starting to curl at the bottom, so I definitely didn't want that brand. Another friend had a FreshPark quarter pipe, which I considered, but ultimately ruled out because it was so expensive. If my son was a competition-level skater, maybe. I decided to try the Landwave brand, and I have to say I have been very pleased with my choice. It has been a quality ramp - very sturdy, no sliding, no curling. I liked the first ramp so much, I bought this Starter Kit about a month ago. Once you put the connectors in, the 3 ramps make for a very sturdy, safe and fun skateboarding obstacle. I just bought another Landwave table top and ramp to go with the original ramp (which is still in excellent shape) so that I would have 2 full sets. You can configure them all sorts of ways, so we just played around with them until we figured out what worked best with the slope of our driveway. Two thumbs up!

A Big Hit With The "Shredders"

I bought the Landwave ramp set as a Christmas gift for my sons, ages 13 and 7. It was a huge hit. The ramp set hooks together a bit like giant Lego blocks and therefore, is fully configurable.The material is heavy-duty plastic and is meant to last. My only complaint is that now all the neighborhood kids think my back patio is a skate park!

Sturdy product

This set is a great starter kit for skateboarding, roller blading, or learning tricks on a bike. It's very, very sturdy and easy to put together, and we love the idea of being able to add on as our son becomes more experienced.

Service was excellent but I do not know whether or not I have been scammed. The product is new and the packaging appears to be authentic but the product does not match the photo on the website; the eyes, mouth, and moveability of the left arm (moves but not to the position in the photo) are different. I got confused with the Medicom and SideShow terminology and probably could have bought it for $50 less from another supplier on the website. I am an 81 year-old who bought Yoda for my desk as a whimsical reminder that "the Force is always with you".

I bought this deck for my grandson who already had 2 ramps. He is having a lot of fun with his skateboard and bike. Deck seems very sturdy and easily fit into the ramps.

Best bang for the buck

Cheap mega store ramps stink. Theese arent those. These are great cheap but versitile ramps. They are like lego blocks. you can style different builds and make a driveway park. If one breaks you can replace it without breaking your wallet. They are reinforced also so landings wont crack them in a couple of runs. If you want modular plastic... at a good price.... get these.

Great way to get the kids outside and exercising

Was looking for a way to get the kids to use their skates, scooters, bikes and skateboards more. This is a great starter package as the kids can & already have made it into several different versions from humps to jumps to multilevel trick platforms. Neighborhood kids come over and they roll all over it. It is easy to put together for teenagers or adults though the 9 and 10 year olds have a harder time keeping the blocks straight up and down when taking apart or putting together. It is surprisingly strong and sturdy. We got it with free shipping which made it very worth the price. Negotiate for that if it is not offered because this comes in 10 big boxes and the shipping costs elsewhere were high.

best christmas gift of all time!

we got this ramp set for our 4, 9, and 11 year old boys for christmas because we know how much they love to ride bikes and visit the BMX bike park we have here in our city. they set up these ramps on christmas morning and have used them EVERY SINGLE DAY since! never has a christmas gift gotten so much playtime. it is now a permanent fixture in our backyard and can be used at anytime (before school, after school, late at night...) the kids ride their bikes, scooters, rip stick, and even remote control car over these ramps. it is also enjoyed by all of the neighbor kids as well. we hope the durability of this product will be long lasting. we plan to buy more of these same ramps and decks to add to our backyard bike park.

Great Ramp!

I got this for my nephew for Christmas and it's Feb. in Chicago so I'm not sure how well it actually works, but it appears of way higher quality than other ramps I've seen,as well as the curve of the ramp is excellent! I LOVE the idea of the system you can attach and build with these ramps. The possibilities are endless!

Worth the price

I am glad I spent the extra money for a heavy duty ramp. I had debated on getting a cheeper version that were abundant before Christmas. But now I am glad I didn't, they are worth the price. My sons (6 & 8) ride their bikes, scooters, and skateboards over these. I think that they will last for years to come. (I should admitt that I have never actually seen the cheep ones. But they look flimsy and the reviews were troublesome.)The only negative is that they are heavy but that is to be expected with a heavy duty ramp. My husband has no trouble moving 3 pieces attached together out of the center of the drive way. However, it is a struggle for me to do so; granted not so much that I take the time to take them apart before moving them. Also, there would be no way my children could move them.

Great replica, extremely poseable, fun!

This figure appears to be nearly identical to one that I purchased on a family trip to Japan back in the early 80s. It was DEFINITELY one of my all-time favorite toys, and to see that it now retails for ~10x what it cost me then, really makes me sad that I didn't take better care of it...The points of articulation are very realistic and the range of motion is better than most similar figures. Detail-wise, it is extremely accurate to what you see in the anime. The eye-scope on mine would swivel and could move horizontally along its' track on the visor, the armor flaps are hinged to enable range of motion, the gatling gun would swivel and click, the arm claw opens and closes, etc.Problem for me was the fact that, as a ten year old boy I also discovered that I could dismantle most of the armor plates, body panels, limbs, and helmet. Eventually a good portion of the figure was simply lost. So if this particular figure is at all similar to the one that I had, be aware that it's great for display and durable enough for light play, but would not be appropriate for ages where small parts could be lost or consumed.

reliable and easy to use

The ART SPL-8810 decibel meter gives consistent results andis very easy to use. The backlight is quite bright. I likethe fact it has 2 broad ranges (lo / hi) and not 4 or 6narrow ranges like some other meters out there.The unit feels very solid and high quality, howeverthe windshield comes off too easily. Not a problem really.My only real gripe is the auto-off feature. The unit turnsitself off about 15 minutes after you turn it on,regardless if you operate the buttons in the mean time.For the price ($70) I can't complain. Other meters at thisprice do not have any kind of standards conformance.This unit shows IEC651 / ANSI S1.4, and Type 2(type 1 is the most accurate, but most expensive too,type 3 is the cheapest and worst accuracy).Note: I opened it up and saw DT-805 printed in the circuitboard (actually DT-805A-4).It looks like this is a rebranded DT-805 meter by CEMcompany. The Nady DSM-1 and Extech 407732 look to be thesame as well.These are great and pricey meters, and the ART brand hasthe cheapest price of them all for the same thing.Go for it!

Sound Pressure Level Meter Review

Works better than expected, very easy to read with 2 settings (dBA & dBC) and is tripod mountable for ease of use. I purchased it to measure and document the sound coming from the condo above me. My readings provided the tangible evidence needed to present to an attorney to pursue legal action against my neighbor. This device is of high quality and less expensive than comparable models.

Sound Pressure Meter to Balance Theater Speakers

When I purchased this sound meter, my objective was to balance the speakers of my 7.1 theater sound system. The problem is that the cheaper sound meters don't have a flat response curve across the frequency spectrum and thus, I was looking for an affordable (key word) sound pressure meter that would get me close to a balanced system such that the system would sound good.I tried the $49 Radio Shack meter but found that it lacked sufficient bass sensitivity that the subwoofer level was way off.A friend offered his $1 sound level application for his i-phone but it was even worse than the Radio Shack meter.I then tried the American Recorder meter and was able to reach a sufficiently good balance that the system sounded good - at an affordable price. I won't tell you that this meter has a flat response curve, especially in the bass region but it is sufficiently sensitive to the subwoofer frequencies that I was able to get close to balanced. Probably the $350 meter may have been better but, I have a simple home theater to keep in balance along with some other sound applications that I didn't need perfect response (and I didn't want to pay $350 (remember the key word), if I didn't have to). This meter was certainly good enough to get all the 6 surround speakers balanced - especially the center channel against the surrounds and get the sub-woofer into the ballpark wherein with a few manual adjustments on the sub gave me a great sounding system.
