it might work - I kept mine

I'm not sure if this thing works or if I just think it does. I only bought it because I saw another user (elsewhere than Amazon) say it worked and because I could return it for 30 days. I have a 2009 PT Cruiser and it can use all the help it can get in the power department. I think I am able to be objective in evaluating things and really did not expect this thing to help at all but since it was so easy to install I went ahead and tried it. Probably took me less then half an hour and that was taking my time doing it. The existing intake on the PT is very long and there is no reason that adding a half inch spacer should make the slightest difference BUT it actually did feel like it had perhaps an extra 5 HP. So I decided to keep it. As to improving gas mileage, that's harder to measure and can't even be done by "feel". I took the car on a 2000 mile trip shortly after installing the gizmo and drove between 60 and 80 mph most of the way. My mileage ranged from 24 mpg to 30 mpg on various legs. In mixed around town driving it was more like 22. If that's more then I used to get it's only by 1 or 2 mpg on the highway and maybe 1 around town.If you like trying stuff on your car you might as well try this if you've read this far. If you don't think it works send it back. I have no connection to the company and I can't believe I'm giving a good review to something that scientifically doesn't seem like it has any realistic chance of even working.

Love the air cleaner, hate the cost of the filters!

I bought the 4-pack of filters, because I keep the air cleaner in my bedroom and it does a Great job and has almost eliminated my allergies! I also can't understand why the filters cost so much....they are small and only last a month or two before you need to replace them. I have found them at Target and at Ace Hardware.....but they are always $20 each. So basically we are getting $10 off on the 4 pack...plus no tax or postage, if you use the 1-click feature. As for as buying gas....you could only buy about 5 gallons of gas and with all the gas hogs on the road polluting the air....you really need the air cleaners, so at least at night you can breath clean air....

The filters seem to last a pretty long time (6-8 months?), but are expensive to replace. Might want to look into other air purifiers which have less expensive replacement filters.

Better than....

I've owned other air purifiers and this one is so much better. As to the cost of the filters, the cost for this model is less than any filter for other air purifiers I've owned.Because of my living situation (apartment with cheap carpet/cheap paint) I wanted a purifier that would help keep down odors as well as whatever environmental 'bugs'that might be hanging around. Within 12 hours of turning on the purifier , I noted a big difference in air quality. Thanks Filtrete!

Very nice machine, well-balanced

I spent a great deal of time comparing different purifiers: cost, performance, ease of use, noise, filter replacement, etc. This unit is superb in every respect. The unit is large but is very handsome and blends in well with the room. It has a very smooth fan that is not too loud but but you can really feel it move the air. There is one filter to replace and they are not terribly expensive and easy to find. In short, I think this unit really meets my needs while being fairly inexpensive and, over the past 6 months, 100% reliable.

it works, but its huge

this works really well compared to the smaller air purifer I usually use. The filters also cost much less to replace(make sure you buy a 4pack when you buy the purifier). It's quite large, and it is quiet, unless it's put on it's highest setting. Im going to take some pictures and upload them so others can see exactly how big it is.

Great Product

I previously purchased TWO different air purifiers trying to find the best one (in the $75-$200 price range). One purifier was on the edge of the effective sq ft range for my bedroom, the other would have cost TONS in HEPA and pre-filters. So...I decided to return those two and go with this one. The filters are going to be cheaper, it has better pollen filtration capacity then a lot of other purifiers and hey, this one just looks tons better! The unit does not produce a large amount of noise on low or medium. When you turn it on high the noise resembles that from an in window air conditioner. Also, this purifier is one of the only ones that covers such a large area (350 sq ft). Like the other review states, it is pretty big but at least it is not a total eyesore!

Incredible quality in a sandal--Ecco wave

This is my second pair of Ecco Wave's. Last year I hiked many trails in Glacier National Park wearing a pair of these sandals(I had injured my toes with a bad pair of hikers), and was able to hike in these sandals! The straps never pulled loose. They also look good enough that I wear them for most any social occasion.I purchased this second pair recently to save, as I feared Ecco might stop making this particularly style.

super comfortable

Bought a pair of these before our Europe trip, knowing we would be doing a ton of walking. Really held up great! Always comfortable, no breaking in period, & Paris rain had no effect on them. They look super cute with jeans, shorts, & skirts, which is also pretty important. Now buying my second pair in a different color, I like them so well.

Great Sandal

I love these sandals. They are very comfortable and stylish! It is hard for me to find a good comfortable sandal that will be comfortable for standing or walking all day. I love the fact that they are adjustable at the top & around the ankle. The bottom also comes out if you need a special insert put in the bottom. These are the BEST!!

Saucony Men's Grid Omni Walker Walking Shoe

I purchased these shoes because they were highly rated on Consumers Reports. I needed comfortable shoes for walking many hours at work. They felt good for about two weeks. The cushioning just didn't seem to provide comfort over a long period of time. The cushion inserts are very thin, like most other shoes. I had to purchase good over-the-counter (OTC) cushion inserts to provide the cushioning and support I need.My podiatrist examined the shoes and said they were good, but lacked the correct cushioning and support for me. I also purchased some custom-made inserts, designed for my feet, and I'm still breaking them in gradually. I don't like the all leather tops and side. They get too hot in the summer heat. I purchased two other pairs of shoes (Nike Running Shoes)to rotate through my wearing cycle. The inserts in the Nike's aren't any better, so I just move my OTC or custom inserts to whichever shoes I plan to where that day and everything seems to work out great! Lasting comfort seems to come from a good quality cushion insert that does not come with the shoe.My recommendation for anyone needing a good pair of walking shoes, is to purchase a good quality shoe then spend more money on cushioning inserts OTC or custom made for your feet.

Good walking shoe

If you are on your feet a lot and also do a lot of walking this is a good shoe for that. I have to walk all day at work on hard tile floors and I need a good shoe that absorbs that shock when your foot hits the hard tile all day. The heal area of the shoe cushions that shock with its good design. Consumers reports magazine also rated this shoe very good. I would have rated it higher but I think the price is a little high for $89.00 .

Updated Review: Comfortable Best Shoe Ever

I won't repeat what's been said here already. But for those just now finding that you need a good support shoe while on your feet: Know that you have to have a good supportive orthotic before you can feel the full benefit of such a shoe. I once found a completely hard insert that was the most comfortable and cost me $65 some three years ago. I can't find it anymore. The next best insert I've found comes from SUPERfeet. I use their "green" version for the best support. DO NOT USE gel inserts or foam. They do NOT support. I've wasted lots of money in trying every kind, so save from my experiments and stay away from these types of orthotics (they're not truly orthotics). Once you find a good walking shoe (read lots customer reviews), there will be small things you can critique among the shoes you buy. Once there are enough reviews to truly establish good or bad, we should concentrate on these smaller things that set one shoe apart from another shoe. Like how fast till the back of the shoe's material wears out? Or does cupping around and up the back of the foot make for a more comfortable fit? Are there any seams inside that irritate the foot? Looking forward to telling you the specifics about this shoe which I'm wearing for the first time today. Look back here in a couple months for my review.*June 11, 2012*I can now safely report that these are better quality than my former two Pear iZumi purchases. The shoe laces stay tied, and there are no internal rub points inside the shoe to make all day wear uncomfortable. On the contrary, I reach for these over my Pearl iZumi because of not only the comfort but because these look so much more professional when at work (all day on my feet). And so far, none of the outer components have become unglued as has happened in the other brand. The sole is not prematurely wearing but holding up very well indeed. I'll likely order another pair of these in the future due to my high satisfaction for the *Saucony Grid Omni Walking Shoe*.
