I'm not sure if this thing works or if I just think it does. I only bought it because I saw another user (elsewhere than Amazon) say it worked and because I could return it for 30 days. I have a 2009 PT Cruiser and it can use all the help it can get in the power department. I think I am able to be objective in evaluating things and really did not expect this thing to help at all but since it was so easy to install I went ahead and tried it. Probably took me less then half an hour and that was taking my time doing it. The existing intake on the PT is very long and there is no reason that adding a half inch spacer should make the slightest difference BUT it actually did feel like it had perhaps an extra 5 HP. So I decided to keep it. As to improving gas mileage, that's harder to measure and can't even be done by "feel". I took the car on a 2000 mile trip shortly after installing the gizmo and drove between 60 and 80 mph most of the way. My mileage ranged from 24 mpg to 30 mpg on various legs. In mixed around town driving it was more like 22. If that's more then I used to get it's only by 1 or 2 mpg on the highway and maybe 1 around town.If you like trying stuff on your car you might as well try this if you've read this far. If you don't think it works send it back. I have no connection to the company and I can't believe I'm giving a good review to something that scientifically doesn't seem like it has any realistic chance of even working.
