Quality Piece

If you're looking for a barometer with a BIG dial, look no further. This thing is awesome. It's a quality piece with a lot of detail. It's American made, except for the barometer works, they're German made and encased in metal. It will stand out on any wall.

Excellent Tool

An excellent tool for installing hardwood flooring, especially a sand in place floor. I suggest getting the wider softer shoe kit for laminates and engineered hardwoods to prevent scratches in the finish. I am 2000 square feet into this nailer with no jams, but I use cleats from Primatech out of Canada, the glue holding the clips together is stronger and more flexible than the PortaNails cleats, they stay in one strand rather than breaking up, making loading much quicker. Being a general contractor and not a flooring contractor means my nailer will only see occasional use rather than e everyday, I believe this to be the perfect balance between cost and quality!

Excellent nailer Works perfectly

I just installed 4500 square feet of 3/4" thick hickory with this and did not have a single jam. I used app 16,000 nails on this job and consider this excellent. The handle on this nailer is taller than most nailers and more comfortable to use. The magazine holds 100 nails and is very quick to load.This is much faster to use than the other Porta nails manual nailer that I own. I will never go back to the manual version.One note this model is the updated 470A model and not the 470 as advertised. The 470A has a better mallet and the taller handle than the 470.This sank most nails perfectly and I only had the set a few with the punch. I used several boxes of the T nails and the L nails. I prefer the T nails as they were easier to set with the punch if you had one that did not fully seat. The L nails almost always bent over when set with the punch. I only had the set about 20 or 30 with the punch out of 16,000 and consider that acceptable.

Used for my new prefinished floors

I purchased this to install pre-finished hardwood and finaly ended up hiring men to do it. They used this nailer and nothing else from all the equipement I purchased as they were fully equiped themselves. I heard no negative comments during installation and for certain they would have said something.

Yummy Stuff

I walked past the Laura Mercier counter in Nordstrom's and was pulled in by a delicious scent. You know how you smell something good and you have to know what it is? That was Almond Coconut. I got a sample of it, and after a week of wearing it I had to have a bottle. I think the best reaction I've gotten was on election day - I registered at my polling place and one of the people there looked at his friend and said 'Man, something smells good! Do you smell that?' and his friend said 'Yeah, what is that??' I smiled. Its a sweet scent - but not as sweet as the Creme Brulee which is WAY too sweet for me. My only complaint is I wish it lasted a little longer.

Looks Good & Works Great

Just bought this unit last week on the Internet. Contrary to the below review, my receiver works as advertised and I am very happy with it. Programing can be a little tricky, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist degree to do. I received my first alert yesterday during a severe Florida storm and also received a test alert today. All in all the Oregon Scientific Portable Public Alert Radio, Model WR108 works as advertised. I also like the fact that the unit can be taken with you on a short trip or long vacation without taking up much space.

Good but sticky keys

I have a WR108 purchased in 2007. I just had to replace the Ni-MH battery, so that's not too bad. The worst problem with this model is that the keys are a bit sticky. You either have to press on them in just the right place, or, to unstick it, snap the edge of the key with a thumbnail almost like playing tiddly winks. I'd still buy it, but it would be nice if they improve the design some.

Wow. Better than the MIDLAND WR300

So I have owned two Midland Weather radios, the latest a WR300. I had to position them strategically in my home just to get reception. Not with this Oregon Scientific! I can walk around the house with perfect signal strength. My midlands (both of them) only lasted for just over a year, so we'll see how long this one lasts. On the first midland, the LCD screen went out and on my WR300 it just completely stopped getting any reception. This Oregon is easy to setup!! GREAT unit! I will update my review in a year!

Bought this rug for an "ocean" themed nursery.The colors are a little less vibrant that shown, but I actually prefer how it looks in person.Very thick pile.Looks extremely durable, I expect it to hold up and clean up well!

Lovely

I sent one to my galpal's recuperating husband and she said he was so pleased with it that he enjoyed finding just the right spot for it and spent the morning doing just that. She said it is lovely and looks very lifelike. I just ordered one for myself since I have a purple thumb. The top quality silk versions generally look fresh and vibrant and last indefinitely.
