We had some work done on our porch and this left a need for a 6'+ planter box to cover an area under it. Well if you're reading this then you've probably been shopping around for a while because they seem so expensive. I decided that rather than lining up two 36" boxes, I'd risk the price of this one and I can say I'm very happy. Amazon listed the weight as 1 lb which really got me scared that this product was a flimsy piece of plastic but it actually weighs around 20lb and is very sturdy.The box itself is large and has thick walls and a small steel bar in the center to aid the sturdiness. The finish is pure gloss - very shiny which is nice. It has an irrigation system for when it's placed in an area which won't get rain often. Unfortunately if you intend to put this item where a sprinkler or rain can get at it frequently you have to drill about 20 3/8" holes in the spine of the unit before adding soil.Because of this hassle and the cost itself I knocked off a star. Recommended but it's pricey and may need altering the day you get it.

THESE ARE A GREAT QUALITY WINDOW BOX THAT WILL ADD BEAUTY TO ANY HOME. I HAVE 6 OF THESE ON MY HOME AND GET COMPLIMENTS ALL THE TIME FOR HOW BEAUTIFUL THE FLOWERS LOOK WITH THESE ON THE HOUSE. THEY ARE A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT WORTH THE INVESTMENT FOR CURB APPEAL!

Although this window box is very pretty and looks sturdy, we were disappointed to find that it is not meant for brick or stone homes. We will have to devise our own mounting system in order to use this. I don't believe the issue is anything particular to this brand, but it is something to keep in mind.
