Installed new unit in about an hour and it works perfect. The season is over now so next winter will be the true test. The replacement motor was an exact duplicate of what I took out. When I inquired to Regency Stoves for an replacement they wanted 400 dollars plus shipping. I saved a substantial amount through Amazon. One point though---- The original lasted 7 years and it runs 24-7 during the winter months from Oct-May so it is a good unit.

I bought this blower to go with a gas fireplace that I purchased from Lowes many years ago. I use this fireplace to heat my home in the winter. The blower that came with it was the open 4" fan that mounts inside the fireplace. It worked okay but did not push the kind of heat I wanted out across the room. I have vast experience with squirrel cage blowers and know of their efficiency for moving large amounts of air. This is exactly what I wanted to do when purchasing this blower. I wanted to move a lot of heated air when the burner was on, This blower does exactly that.I also purchased the thermostatic switch to turn the blower off after the burner shuts down. So far this year my heating bill has been smaller than all other years, both gas and electric. Thank you Amazon for carrying this product.

The unit was an exact replacement for Regency fireplace insert, also installed very easy. The electrical connections were exactly the same.
