I love it! it is a little noisy and their feet occasionally get trapped on the cord, but you can push cord down and/or tape it down to prevent that. Those things don't make me disappointed. I'm really glad I ordered it and the kids and I will look forward to unpacking it each year. The lights and ghoulies make neat shadows on the wall.

I have been collecting Dept. 56 items for years. The now-retired Spinning Pumpkins ride is my absolute favorite. I wanted another Halloween-themed ride, and decided to purchase this one based on good reviews. Well when it arrived, one of the branches was loose in its joint. I was able to repair it but it wasn't easy. It arrives in 2 pieces and you have to screw the top (tree canopy) to the base. Looked easy, but took me awhile to figure out that the right-tighty rule didn't apply in this situation; it went on counter-clockwise. However, what disappointed me the most were the jack-o-lanterns at the base of the tree. In the video of this ride on Youtube they appear to light up and looked really neat, and were the reason I decided to purchase this item in the first place, but when it arrived I realized the jack-o-lanterns were made of solid resin and do not light up at all, there was just a lighting effect in the video to make them look like they did. A little misleading, if you ask me. However, the swings themselves work fine and the motor is quiet.Edit: the jack-o-lanterns are painted with neon paint, so if you place them in a very dark room, they will glow.

This is a real cute Dept 56 Halloween village piece. They way it lights up and the sound it quite effective. Great price for a Dept 56 village piece.
