Desert Storm. Based on the original Applegate-Fairbairn fighting knife (model 120543AF), this desert version resulted from Operation Desert Storm. All of the features that made the original fighting knife a classic are retained in this desert version, and are enhanced with a black stainless steel cross-guard, black screws and a desert colored handle. The knife is carried securely in the desert tan Kydex sheath. Each knife is serialized. Blade length: 6-Inch. Overall length: 10 3/4-Inch. Weight: 8.5 oz.

Knife construction is top notch. Not a flaw on this blade, absolutely beautiful lines and top notch steel. I have little doubt this blade would be a formidable weapon in the right hands and toughness is on par with other military knives I own. The blade is like any dagger, made for poking life ending holes in people quickly and quietly, but not much else. Far too large for comfortable concealed carry in my opinion. Edges are sharp enough for some slashing too, tho being a civilian, I will likely never cut anything aside from paper. Not sure I would buy this knife again at this price as it will likely sit in a drawer unused.Kydex sheath is neither quiet enough for stealthy draw nor designed well / tightly enough to allow inverted carry without risk of dropping the blade. The blade rattles against the scabbard when sheathed The tek-lok belt clip system prevents the blade from being snugged against your body as it sticks out over 1/4". Plan to order a new sheath if you are going to use this blade and require silent usage. One plus of the sheath design is the use of open rivets which allow some great paracord attachment options.

-German made-Best feeling dagger ive ever held-Great blade shape-cool special desert color.Being a soldier in afghansitan, all my battle buddies get jealous of this sweet dagger...100% best daggger you can buy in my opinion, others like the MRK.2 Gerber just simply doesnt fit in your hand nearly as good....with good daggers like these you're paying dam near 100 bucks for them anyways, so why not get the best dagger period for a few bucks more...

Best fighting knife ever. Steath is practical, does no scratches on the blade. Steath is only one color, no camo as you cane see pics on internet. Same quality as the ordinary model, only difference is sand color. Arrived in time. Another great knife, another great buy from Amazon.
