I'm a union electrician who is always looking to support my fellow working person. So, made in the U.S.A. by a union workforce was a big draw for me. That being said, these are terrific boots. I'm almost too selfish to tell where I got them. Otherwise, every man on site will be wearing them. You can't get quality like this from some third world sweatshop. I'll be back for more.

I've worn Danner shoes for a very long time but of late the quality control has not kept pace with their prices. I was glad to come across this shoe. Price was very good and the workmanship is excellent. I did read the reviews and ordered a half size smaller than what I've ordered in the past and was glad I did. My only mistake was ordering an EE instead of my normal D. My foot is in between regular and wide and with this shoe my socks tend to bunch up. I'm still going to keep them and just add an insert and thicker socks and I think the problem will be solved. An excellent made product and made in the USA is an extra perk. Danner just lost a long time customer. I would definitely recommend Thorogood boots to friends.
