I purchased this item at a nearby medical supply store to assist my elderly mother in lifting herself off the bed. My only regret is that I didn't purchase the item sooner and that I didn't purchase it through Amazon. The local medical supplier charged me twice the price for the identical item.

My mom, who is 98, lives with us. She has a bed with no hand rails and I needed a solution. She had nothing to hold onto getting in and out of bed. This bed cane has made her feel secure when she gets up or when she is getting in her bed. It fits under her mattress and was easy to put under her mattress. Her bed is still able to lift and this was a concern. It was the perfect solution for us and she is so happy to have it on her bed. I would suggest this to anyone who has a hard time getting in or out of bed.
