After reading a good number of reviews on this light myself, I went and bought one. Well as a Photographer/artist I tend to hang and light my work throughout my home and change it out often. So I do have some pretty good experience in this area with a number of various picture lights. The good points about this light outweigh the bad and I can honestly say that A; I would recommend this light to a friend and/or stranger, and B; I will likely buy yet another one or two before the year is up. OK, so that said I really only have one 'con' on the item and that is the way they set this light to be mounted. I think they were hoping that everyone was going to mount it to the frame of their picture. That is not really the best way to mount any picture light for about a half dozen reasons. The way they set the light to be mounted to the wall was, well, stupid. There I said it. I have no idea what they were thinking or if they even applied that avenue of 'self'. The mounting bracket is on the outside of the base in a way that it can be easily spotted if the base is mounted anywhere within 12" to 20" of eye level. It would have taken very little effort, (and thought), to have made this light so that the mounting system would have been hidden within the base design. But for my purposes, it would be ok because I was mounting this light up above a tall gallery wrap picture that placed the light at about 8 1/2 feet high. Otherwise, the light works great, is easily adjustable and the remote works just fine.

I just can't say enough about this light. It's modern and sleek and adds so much to the decor of my living room,(not to mention how great it makes the painting look). I just ordered another one today.

I ordered this light twice. The first time I received it the remote control did not work and did not match the picture of the remote control on the box so I returned it. I ordered it again recently thinking I would get the correct remote control but I received the same remote and again it did not work. I am so disappointed but have decided to keep the light anyway. It works well with my picture. I just have to plug it in and out of the wall. The title for this product should be "re-written" minus the "Remote control" reference because this description is not accurate. If and when the correct "working" remote control is received for this item I would love to receive one.
