Put this on your registry! I love this blanket, and everyone who sees it wants one too. The only thing that I do not like is the price so I wish that I had put it on my registry. It's a perfect gift for a new mom. I used another blanket to cover my infant in his carseat/carrier the first few months, and it was such a pain. I was always picking it up off the floor and trying to fold it and keep him covered. This blanket is just the right size, and the ties are a godsend. The soft side is SO soft, and I'm thrilled to have the waterproof side because the little canopy on the carrier doesn't completely cover him when it's raining. I just wish that I had purchased this months ago.We actually were stuck waiting outside in the pouring (freezing) rain for half an hour while we waited for Santa one December. I used this blanket to cover my son's legs, and it got soaked. I know that it is only supposed to be water resistent (not proof), but my son stayed dry!Personally, I prefer this over a stroller muff because it can roll up and fit in a diaper bag or be used for various other things. However, it is not super thick. Think of it more like a jacket than an actual coat. When it's truly cold, we bundled up our son in warm clothing and real blankets for the stroller and used a thick cover over the baby carrier.

This blanket is great. It is pretty much permanently tied to his car seat-- when he is dozing off, I flip it over.. when it is raining out I flip it over to keep him dry on way from car to house...you can also untie it and use it to sit on in the park. It's a great blanket.

I am in LOVE with our woobee. We just returned from a trip to Phoenix- (a 3 hour plane ride), and our blanket was indispensable. My baby is 7 mths old and we used it constantly:-as a way to shield our daughter from the "too bright sun" in Phoenix-as a way to create a nice little cocoon on the plane so she could sleep with all the bright sun streaming into the plane-as a diaper changing station at the rear of the plane (on the floor)- Thanks for nothing Alaska Airlines...no changing station in the bathroom-tied onto her high chair as we sat outside eating dinner, and it began to get chilly-as a wonderful tummy time entertainer (we have the "cow print" which is fascinating for our baby girl)-speaking of entertaining, she will play with the "ties" forever, she loves twirling them, sucking on them etc.-finally, we bundled her up in it when we returned home from 80 degrees to 40 degreesI think I need at least 2 more of these. The first thing I did when we returned was to wash and dry it, so we wouldn't have to go without it the following day. Oh, BTW- my almost 5 year old boy wants one too for eating on the wet grass at the park.
