After having grown weary of replacing the OEM stainless steel burner every two years and fighting with the company over their bogus warranty I tried out this burner, much heavier and surdier than the flimsy stainless steel burner, installation was a breeze, works great and I expect it to last considerably longer than stainless steel for half the price. Be sure to season it with cooking oil and bake for a half hour before use (see their website, just like seasoning a new cast iron skillet...), now works like a brand new grill, am ordering their replacement cooking grids as I type this.

After allowing the current stainless burner to deteriorate over the last three years I'm excited to have a new grill again! This thing is HEAVY - I expect it to last for many years. As a bonus - received in one day with super saver shipping!

I have been a little disappointed in the Broilmaster original burners. They come with a 15year pro-rated warranty but I've had two burners rust out over 12 years. Instead of getting another one I wanted to try this one made by Music City Metals.So far I am very impressed. Upon receiving it, you will notice that is built to last. It is far heavier and made of thicker metal which will be much less likely to rust. Installation was a breeze, but if you're looking for written directions you may as well go elsewhere as there was nothing in the packaging to help. It takes two people to install so you can line up the gas lines just right. Once in place it is a perfect fit for my D3 grill.Read this knowing that I haven't cooked with it yet, this pertains to first impressions and installation -- I've started the burner and let it get hot and it was almost as hot as the original burner. I'll edit my review after I've cooked a few steaks and fill in those blanks.
