This chain fall is just what I needed. Have an old CM chain fall that I've had for over 25 years but it is a 1 ton and I had to get a Bridgeport Mill and a 14 1/2" South bend lathe off of my trailer. So the machines have been setting there just waiting for the thing to get here. Got here in good time but it was very beat up,the cardboard box that it was shipped in was all torn up, and I expected the worst. What can you do to a chain fall? Well you can bend the Guard/case but I just bent it back. It worked fine after that.The delivery co. (federal Distress) is number 3 or 4 in the business and I can tell them why.They can use some improvement on their service, need to be a little more careful with their handling of packages. The chain fall picked up the machines with little strain on my part and I got them off in no time. Don't buy less than the 5 ton because it is the best deal going for the money,less than i/3 the cost of a used chain fall around here, but it is an import. When will American business wake up?

I haven't used it yet, but I can tell you it is a solid (and oily/dirty) item, as delivered. Everything arrived intact. Slight paint blemish due to shipping a heavy item like this. I may update this after use.
