Finally - a pair of winter boots that I can use!!

I never realized how hard it was to find a wide width winter boot till i started searching for one! I have a bunion on my foot and cannot wear standard width shoes. Retail stores do not seem to carry wide width and the pair I got from LL Bean online, while a nice shoe, was not as wide as advetrised.This pair of shoes is what i have been looking for a long time - they are wide, comfortable and were really easy to break in. In fact, I wore them to work the other day while it was snowing, and they were are confortable enough that I did not feel the need to change out of them once I got there.I used them in the snow yeaterday for walking and playing with our Husky and came into the house almost 2 hours later with completely dry and warm feet, inspite of wearing just regular cotton socks. The 600 gms of Thinsulate lining really works. And, while it keeps feet warm in the cold, wearing them indoors (as I did in the office) does not make my feet uncomfortably warm.Also have to mention that they have an incredible grip - I was able to walk and run in the snow and ice without worrying about slipping and falling.I'm glad I made this investment.....

Very Very COMFORTABLE

I'm into my second winter with these boots. I wear them all day at work and sometimes I'm on my feet for 6+ hours. I then come home and take the dog for a 2+ mile hike on two-tracks through the woods. I have plantar faciitis and bunions so, I wear an x-wide. The first winter, the seams where my bunions are tore loose. I had them repaired at the end of the season and started wearing them about a month ago. The first hour, they felt a little tight. Then, they loosened up a bit and now, they're extremely comfortable and the repairs are holding. If, by the end of this season, they come loose, I'll have them repaired again and expect them to last many more winters. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day and I have my doctor prescribed orthodics inside ALWAYS while wearing these boots plus heavy winter socks. I would give this boot a 4 star because of the seams coming loose except they are so comfortable and my bunions are the cause, not poor quality, quality is great.

Roomy boot

This boot feels good and fits on the bigger side, at least for the size 14. I tried 2 other style boots and the 14 was to snug for wearing winter socks. This is a nice boot and keeps you warm, good design Wolverine.
