This product is great for long distance travel. While you won't get the promised 40 hours on an iPod 30gb, you will get 15-20 hours depending how much video you play. I've had mine for about 18 months and it still gives me about 12 hours. However, my advice is go to the iluv website and order directly from them. You have more color choices and it's less expensive
