Just what I was looking for

I've always wanted a grandfather clock but with my husband in the military and lots of moving to different places, didn't want to take the chance on the clock getting busted up. So until he retires and we settle down somewhere for good, this beautiful clock meets all our needs. I got this a couple of years ago from Amazon and we have been very happy with it. The battery seems to last a very long time, I've only had to change it out once since we've gotten it. The chimes sound beautiful and the volume can be adjusted to how you like. There are two different chimes to choose from and I also like that you can set the chimes to go off only every hour or every 15 minutes. The ticking of the seconds is not too loud or annoying and the pendulum rhythm is perfectly attuned. The design of the clock is elegant yet understated and not garish and can go with a variety of settings. The color of the wood is also beautiful and goes well with our wood furniture and natural wood floor. The only con that I can think of with the clock is that you have to take it down off the wall to change the hour when daylight savings time comes around and it's not easy to replace the clock on the wall.

Howard Miller Chiming Wall Clock

I have had this clock for awhile now and it keeps time beautifully. The clock itself is very well made; a beautiful light oak, and is nicer than the picture. We love the chimes, and the fact that you can reduce the volume if you want a quieter chime. The chime is reduced significantly at night, but not off entirely. For some that might be a problem, but you can turn off the chimes if you want. I believe this is a very good value.

Excellent Lock

The condominium where I live has been using two of these locks for at least 5 years. They get a lot of use, but have performed well They also continue to look good, thanks to the stainless steel body. No maintenance necessary to maintain the appearance.Each apartment owner has his own code and renters are also given a personal code upon arrival, which is deleted as soon as their rental is ended. Programming the lock is easily done--good instructions come with the lock--and it is easy to enter code, delete codes, or suspend codes.The lock can handle up to 80 different codes simultaneously. Where I live, we have changed all the codes several times for security reasons and have at one time or another used codes of 4, 5 and 6 numbers. The 80 code limit means only 80 different codes can be in use at the same time. However, when we delete the code that had been given a renter then an entirely different code can be given to the next renter. This means that even though only 80 codes can be used at one time, the number of different codes that can be entered and deleted during the life of the lock is limitless.Occasionally it is necessary to replace the 4 AA batteries, but these are standard batteries and widely available. But it takes so little battery power to open the lock that 4 batteries last a long time between replacements. The manufacturer claims you can get 200,000 operations from 4 batteries. That sounds a little high, but whatever the number, it is impressive.A couple of times during the years we have used the locks one or the other stopped working. But all that was necessary was to replace the electronic card in the lock, which cost a tinyl fraction of the price of the lock. I believe the body of the lock will last forever.Based on our experience, I can highly recommend this lock.Amazon has a good price for this lock. The manufacturers list price is $540 and other seller are asking $380 or more for the same lock.

Great attachment, but you could get more for your money.

This pole saw cuts like a champ! No complaints, but it is listed here for over $140. Buy the Poulan 810EPT Electric Pole Pruner instead from Amazon and you get the pole saw attachment AND an electric power head that has great power. I'm using that setup and have had no problems. Save some money!

Poulan Pro PP5000P

I only needed a pole saw for occasional use. After pricing what Stihl and Echo get for their products I decided this was a much better path to go. I put this on a Ryobi weed wacker and it works great. It comes with a shoulder strap, a mounting point for the strap, and a little jug of bar oil to get you started. My only complaint is I wish the bar was a little longer, but I am sure no matter how long it was I would find a branch that is a little bigger. It sure beats using a hand pole saw.

INCREDIBLE

My husband was a logger all of his life. His first thoughts were.."oh no, what piece of _____ has she bought now"? We have a Poulan Pro brush/weed trimmer. He thought that he had to take everything apart and re-asemble it. After I told him that all he had to do was turn the red knob and slip it on...then...After he started in on all of our Pine, Fir and Willow trees (that were hitting the roof line)...HE LOVED IT. He was so surprised. Said that it was the best investment that we have ever made. He took down some pretty big limbs too. He is 67 and I am 64. I used it too. I loved it. I can't use it as long as he can. It isn't as top heavy as you would think, but it did take a toll on my shoulders and hands. I just have to pace myself. So any woman out there can do it herself, without having to hire someone. Hauling the branches away, was the hard part...but this chainsaw will cut them small with ease. It is a great piece of equipment.
