I bought this safe because I needed something to store private data. This safe runs around $300 in Canada so it was a steal of a deal at Amazon.com. I love the digital pad for unlocking and of course since I forgot my code, the key entry is a god send. Also it is extremely easy to change your code once you have the door open.

Overall, it is what we wanted to secure small valuables and a hand gun. Easy and quick access. Arrived quickly, but like others have noted, the packaging was damaged. It survived the bumps and tears, but this safe weighs over 50lbs. and should have been protected with better packing material. Password is easy to change, and there is a key override that hides behind a removeable plastic plate on the front. I didn't pay enough attention to the outside dimension. It is actually too large for the space. Only dissapointment is you have to lift on the door a little to get it to open, but it is still a good safe for the cost.

I received 3 different safes from this company. Each time they sent a replacement and that was damaged. The electronics worked fine and the safe seemed good but they just don't pack it properly. Talk about a lot of aggravation! I finally gave up and asked for a refund. I'll be back to report if I have a problem getting a refund.There is NO WAY I would recomend buying this product from this company.
