A firm favourite with serious photographers all over the world.The 445 has recently undergone a substantial re-design. The main compartment now includes four extra full depth pockets. The single, straight-path zip top opening is retained but has now been reprofiled, so that it is possible for the zip panels to lie out of the way behind the inside pockets, to form the Billingham TukTop. In use the zip can remain open and protected with the main flap. The simple straight zip path ensures long, trouble-free life. The extra height ofthe 445, allows a hammerhead flashgun to stand upright in the bag. The adjustable Delta shoulder sling comes complete with a leather and neoprene SP20 shoulder pad. A new accessory, the G4 Computer Slip, will fit into the front pocket of the 445, allowing a laptop computer to be safely carried. I have struggled to find a camera bag that was flexible enough to handle all of my camera gear (Nikon body, 3 big lenses, one small lense, wireless remote, light meter, flash and various needed gadgets). It seemed like I was either trying to cram too much stuff into too little a camera bag or I was working with some huge backpack with straps and snaps rattling all over everywhere.This bag has none of those problems and while it is expensive - it lives up to the motto of "you get what you pay for". This bag is easy to set up and is tall enough that the lenses can stand up, which gives you more equipment in a smaller footprint. I have no trouble getting all of my gear in this bag and it still has room for my laptop and cords. Even with all of this, it fits into an airplane overhead without any trouble and doesn't seem nearly as big as the alternative camera bags.This has an inside zipper to shut the bag with an inside carry handle if you don't want to close the top flap and secure it. This means that you can get into and out of the bag without leaving your gear exposed (zip it shut) and then close the top flap and secure it when you are done shooting and ready to move on. This also means that someone can't slip into your bag once the flap is down and strapped because they can't get to the zipper easily. There are some inside roomy pockets to hold more gear and your laptop (if you want it along). While softsided, the bag has plenty of padding to protect your gear and keep things from bouncing around inside the bag.With all my gear loaded up the bag gets pretty heavy (because of the gear - not the bag) and yet the shoulder strap is comfortable and surprisingly makes the load feel lighter than it does when you first lift it up. I have tried a lot of bags including flipsides, backpacks and shoulder bags - none of them came even close. The workmanship on this bag is amazing, well thought out and worth every penny. This is the last camera bag that I will ever buy and my only regret is that I didn't buy this one first.
