I bought this guitar for my daughter when she turned 6. She was excited to get it, but it turns out she wasn't all tht interested in learning to play the guitar. Also turns out that I pick up and play this guitar more oftern than my Gibson, Gretsch, Tele or PRS. It's well-made, has good intonation (says in tune up and down the neck), good sound for the size, and is easy to play. I've owned and played cheapies and high end guitars, and I would recommend this for anyone interested in a small scale guitar or a knock-around/travel axe. Now it looks like her younger brother is interested in playing it...

My daughter loves this and hasn't put it down since Christmas morning. We may sign up for lessons now. Perfect size for her hands. Fun colors. High quality. And I love the great padded bag that came with it. We also bought a Daisy Rock beginning guitar book. It's got easy instructions and exciting graphics to keep her interested.

I did my fair share of research before making this purchase both online and by taking to the guys at guitar center. I got this guitar knowing how girly it is but also wanting to be taken seriously as a musician because that's me, super girly but rough around the edges. This is my first guitar and it wasn't until I learned there were actually guitars fit for females that I got seriously into the idea of playing guitar. My mom's childhood guitar from when she was 12 is even hard for me because the thickness of the guitar caused it to be uncomfortable as well as my fingers struggling to go between notes. I am 23 and 5'3", this guitar as the title of the review states is great but not limited to younger girls. Since getting it I practice about 2-3 hours a day with it always staying in tune between practices and has a great sound. I'm learning quickly because the guitar makes it so comfortable and it's awesome for beginners who have smaller hands/ who are short, like me :) My boyfriend loves playing around with it and thinks its totally bad ass for the price and how awesome it sounds. II was skeptical thinking it was only for younger girls but that is not the case one bit! I recommend this guitar for any female who wants to seriously play but has been deterred in the past because of not finding a comfortable fit.
