Great "Out for a Walk" Access
By Denise
Previous to installation of this keypad, the only way to open garage door was with the 'clip-onto-car-visor' type remote, which is great IF you are in the car. But when I am outside, either sweeping, gardening, walking the dog, it is wonderful to punch in the code for garage door open access. This purchase was actually for other people who do not have the car remotes to gain entry, esp. family or repair person. So far though I am enjoying it. My brother installed it and I did not hear any complaints about how it went. Usually I do when things go wrong. P.S. If dark outside I first press ENTER to lightup the keypad.

Perfect Solution!
By D. R. Stanley
I had to replace a "universal" unit that fried after a year. I would have purchased this model in the beginning had I been sure that it was compatibile but that isn't as clearly stated as it should be. It seems to vary from description to description so I went with something else the first time. I have a perfectly functioning older garage door opener built in 1990. Newer models use a different security setup. After the original univeral died I started looking all over again. Finally, I went to the manufacturer's site to make certain this model was compatible with my opener. Indeed it is! Further, this unit is much easier to operate from a code and operating standpoint. It snyced up perfectly the first time after following the very easy directions.

Great
By AJ
Great product and simple to install and program in less than 10 minutes.Just have to make sure you get the correct one based on your frequency as there seems to a lot of confusion on that aspect.
