The EMX P44's were included in the package when we installed front gates on our property about 10 years ago. They only come as a set (sender + receiver) which when the lesser of the two (receiver) goes bad, you can't buy just the one (the cheaper) but the set. I've had to do this twice, on one occasion returning them to the manufacturer for evaluation in the event my installation was the culprit. No, came the reply, "the ones you sent back were waterlogged." Stated rather matter of factly for an item which is clearly going to be installed in an outdoor environment! No hint of a "we'll replace that one for you" in the discussion. I've stayed with this brand because introducing another brand might require reconfiguring the gate software and who in their right mind would ever want to go there! In this recent purchase via Amazon the supplier was great... processing/shipping turnaround was great. Please do not confuse the product/manufacture opinion with the great job done by this wholesaler in getting the product delivered.
