Unit was easy to install and operate. Custom dash mount looks and fits great. Switching between programs was easy, but make sure you follow the on and off key instructions or it will lock up. Economy mode gave me 1.2 additional mpg's from 15.2 to 16.3. Economy mode performance was same as factory. Tow mode is great, pulling my boat I went from 12.5 to 15 mpg's as well as had tremendous performance gains on hills and passing. Extreme mode with 93 octane gave second scratch on smooth pavement and amazing performance on a punch. Unit is definitely worth it if you tow anything heavy. Extreme mode is a lot of fun if every so often you feel the need for speed.

After having the truck since 2004 decided to finally get one of these after seeing all other brands come and go with various claims to fame. Clean sleek design won me over. Took a chance and purchasing this unit knowing you can purchase the pod separately was unsure if it would actually ship with one...which it did. pleased with the fitment, not a professional stereo install but well enough to maintain stock appearance, no drilling/cutting, holes, removal of dash, etc...wife could have probably installed it within 30min.shipped with current firmware so no update was needed as indicated on installation directions.First out of the gate set it up with the towing program(pgm 2) since I was soon to travel 300+ miles towing 5600lb toy hauler(unloaded). Without the trailer noticed shifting improvement. Torque converter lockup was much more efficient and allowed the truck to lug more before disengaging to slip in OD. This is something that I had learned to live with after lifting and adding the larger tires. Seemed to hunt a bit more than needed. the low power was always there, just needed something to allow the truck to use it. The unit allows even more adjustment for the lockout through custom programming which is very simple(like adjusting a microwave oven timer). Low end acceleration seemed to clear up allowing smoother power at lower rev's w/ conservative take off's. Rarely tried to pull this large of a load in OD unless driving down grade. Held in dr, 11mpg avg at 50+/-mph drafting, 8 mpg with slight headwind and 55mph(trying to get home faster).After unloading and selecting program 1(transmission/economy only), was extremely pleased. Returning home on a 50 mile trip(no AC), reset the avg mpg clock and got 18mpg avg. on freeway 60-65mph. 6"inch lift, with additional 3"coilover, running appx. 35 inch tires, 3.73's. Can average 14mpg city stop and go.Custom program was needed to accommodate tire dia. of the 325 65 18's. Could have simply chosen the pre-programmed setting for 35in which isn't precisely correct for this tire. The mm fine tuning allowed me to program exactly what was needed and seemed to cover just about any tire dia. Many more fine tuning options there but these minor adjustments yielding nice results.

I put this programmer on my tuck as soon as I got it and immediately noticed the difference in transmission shifting, acceleration, and fuel economy. This is well worth the money and will pay for itself with all the money saved in gas. There is only one thing I didn't like about it and that was to be able to get the full potential out of the truck using the programmer on level 3 you have to run 91 octane or better. Other than that it is a great product and I highly recommend it.
