Delphi FG0407 Fuel Pump Module Product Description:

  • Restores fast-pressure performance and system integrity, translating to better pumping through less energy
  • Increased durability and enhanced stability due to internal springs preventing fuel tube chafing and possible loss of fuel flow and pressure
  • Better security and durability with multiple redundant buttons on the fuel level sensor versus bent fingers which can undergo premature wear, and reduced contact
  • Longer pump life as a result of a two-strainer system keeping out contaminants
  • Lower failure rates due to design that is maximized to operate under extreme temperatures and to avoid low-fuel hesitation

Product Description

As a leading OE supplier to the automotive industry, Delphi holds more than 30 OE-proprietary innovations and 150 patents in fuel module and pump design. As a result, our fuel pumps restore fast-pressure performance and system integrity to provide better pumping through less energy. Delphi fuel pumps feature internal springs for increased durability and enhanced stability, while a lower amperage draw places less load on a vehicle’s electrical system. Our fuel pumps include a large volume reservoir to better handle low-fuel situations and vehicle cornering, as well as fuel-level, gold-filled sensors for improved corrosion resistance. Other benefits of our fuel pumps include consistent pump flow, an enhanced filtration system for longer pump life and an OE-service body harness and connector for superior performance, durability and ease of installation.

4Lasted a while- but not forever
By James H. Pratt
I had a fuel pump go out on my 2004 Silverado 1500 with 4.3 V6 liter engine. This fuel pump, the FG-0407, is the listed direct replacement. My original one lasted 159,000 miles. I hope this one lasts just as long. It took a while to replace the old one. Look on youtube for a video on how to replace it yourself. If your tank is empty, or nearly empty, it's a do-it-yourself job that takes three hours. If your tank is full, you're in a world of hurt- you need to drain it out first.Good luck.BY the way- it looks like Amazon is best price on the net at $165. How about that?
